The Marcus Mosiah Garvey Domino Tournament (MMGDT) is more than just a game it’s a historic celebration of culture, unity, and empowerment. Named in honor of one of the greatest visionaries and Pan-African leaders of all time, this tournament brings people together from all walks of life to celebrate the legacy of The Hon. Marcus Mosiah Garvey through a spirited, family-friendly competition rooted in tradition and community pride.
Hosted annually by Camp Wakanda Forever Inc., the MMGDT will be held this year at the Royal Canadian Legion, located at 2 Robinson Ave, Scarborough, ON M1L 3S7. However, all subsequent years it will be held on the lush 78.5 acre grounds of Camp Wakanda Forever in Centre Hastings, Ontario just two hours outside of Toronto. The event is a powerful mix of fellowship, fun, and fierce domino showdowns, all in the spirit of Garvey’s call for unity, self-determination, and economic strength among African people worldwide.
