Tournament Terms and Conditions
Tournament Terms and Conditions
Version 2026.4 • Effective July 21, 2026
These Terms and Conditions govern registration for and use of the MMGDT website, player accounts, Tournament Passes, and tournament services.
1. Eligibility and accurate information
- Registrants must provide complete and accurate information and must not register another person without their knowledge.
- Each doubles player must use a separate email address, claim their own account, and accept current required documents.
- Where a participant is not legally able to consent on their own, an authorized parent or guardian must complete the required approvals.
2. Registration and approval
- Submitting a form creates a pending application, not an automatic right to participate.
- A registration is confirmed only after required payment, account confirmation, rules and policy acceptance, and management approval.
- MMGDT may reject, suspend, or cancel a registration for inaccurate information, non-payment, misconduct, safety concerns, or rule violations, subject to applicable law.
3. Accounts and Tournament Passes
- Participants are responsible for protecting their login credentials and promptly reporting unauthorized access.
- Participant codes, QR passes, and badges are personal and may not be transferred or misused.
- The official Tournament Pass may remain locked until all required conditions are complete.
4. Rules and official decisions
- Participants agree to follow the current MENTAL Pardy (Pairs) Tournament Rules, Code of Conduct, referee rulings, and lawful directions of tournament management.
- Official scores, brackets, penalties, advancement, and tournament decisions are determined through the tournament system and authorized officials.
5. Prize board qualification
- The full $10,000 CAD prize board is conditional upon paid and approved player registrations reaching at least 80% of the published 128-player capacity (103 player spots) by August 4, 2026 at 11:59 PM EDT.
- If the threshold is not reached, the prize board will be adjusted according to the Prize Board Schedule published on mmgdt.com. Pending, unpaid, rejected, cancelled, refunded, expired, and waived registrations do not count.
- The final prize board will be announced after registration closes and before tournament play begins.
6. Event changes
- Schedules, tables, format, venue areas, services, and operational details may change when reasonably necessary for safety, weather, attendance, or tournament flow.
- Material changes will be communicated through the website, email, player portal, or on-site announcements.
7. Assumption of ordinary event risks
- Attendance may involve ordinary risks associated with travel, crowds, outdoor conditions, food, physical movement, and participation in a live event.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be excluded.
8. Website use
- Users must not interfere with the website, attempt unauthorized access, scrape private information, impersonate others, upload harmful content, or misuse messaging and QR features.
- Website content, tournament branding, documents, and software may not be copied or commercially exploited without permission, except for personal tournament use.
9. Governing framework and contact
- These Terms are intended to operate under the laws applicable in Ontario and Canada. Mandatory legal rights continue to apply.
