Tournament Code of Conduct
Version 2026.1 • Effective July 21, 2026
The Code of Conduct applies to players, referees, volunteers, staff, managers, sponsors, clubs, and spectators at MMGDT activities and through tournament communication systems.
1. Respect and inclusion
- Treat all participants, officials, staff, volunteers, and guests with dignity.
- Harassment, threats, intimidation, discriminatory abuse, bullying, unwanted contact, and retaliation are prohibited.
2. Fair play and integrity
- Cheating, signalling, collusion, score manipulation, impersonation, misuse of participant codes, and interference with matches or systems are prohibited.
- Participants must cooperate with referees and follow the official rules and dispute process.
3. Behaviour and impairment
- Aggressive, violent, unsafe, or excessively disruptive behaviour is prohibited.
- A person who is impaired or whose behaviour creates a safety or fairness concern may be removed from play or from the venue.
4. Equipment, property, and tournament areas
- Use dominoes, holders, tables, technology, facilities, and property responsibly.
- Only authorized players and officials may enter restricted playing or operations areas. Spectators must respect barriers and staff instructions.
5. Digital conduct
- Tournament messaging, email, player accounts, photos, and personal information must not be used to harass, shame, impersonate, or expose another person.
6. Reporting and response
- Concerns should be reported promptly to a referee, manager, Tournament Director, or designated safety contact.
- Management may investigate, preserve relevant records, and take interim safety measures.
7. Consequences
- Responses may include education, warning, game penalty, match forfeiture, removal, disqualification, account restriction, suspension from future events, or referral to appropriate authorities.
- Serious conduct may result in immediate action without a prior warning. Tournament decisions remain subject to applicable law and the official dispute process.
