Communications Consent and Preferences

This document distinguishes essential tournament communications from optional promotional communications.

1. Essential operational messages

By registering or holding a tournament account, participants may receive messages necessary to administer the event, including account confirmation, password and security notices, payment instructions and receipts, rules and policy updates, approval status, schedule and match information, safety alerts, postponement or cancellation notices, and direct replies.
Essential messages are connected to the requested tournament service and may continue even when optional marketing consent is not granted.

Participants may separately opt in to news about future tournaments, Camp Wakanda Forever activities, sponsorship, fundraising, and related opportunities.
Promotional consent is optional and is not preselected.

Messages may be delivered by email, My Tournament Profile, website announcements, or another method the participant has provided and authorized.

Promotional consent may be changed in My Tournament Profile or by using an unsubscribe method included in a promotional message.
Withdrawing promotional consent does not affect essential tournament messages or an otherwise valid registration.
